João Farinha Chairman of the Assembly Board

Graduated in 2004 in Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, he did an internship in the last year of his degree at the company “Quimitécnica Ambiente, Waste and Effluent Treatment, SA”, where he was responsible for the screening and control of quality sector of laboratory waste. In 2005, under the European Program Leonardo Da Vinci, he interned at the NGO World Wide Fund for Nature – European Policy Office, in Brussels, in the area of ​​environmental certification systems for biofuels. Between 2007 and 2010, he collaborated on different projects in the area of ​​energy efficiency, in the ECOCASA working group of Quercus – National Association for Nature Conservation. Since the beginning of SCIAENA, it has indirectly followed the projects developed by it, collaborating occasionally in some of them, in the area of ​​marine pollution. Since 2016 he has been a member of the association’s board.
