Degree in Biology – Marine Environmental branch and Master in Marine Ecology by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. From an early age, she became involved in associative movements from various fields and developed her Master’s thesis in collaboration with a Portuguese NGO. There, she became acquainted with Sciaena, with which she works since 2014. She was responsible for VAL+, a project to enhance local fisheries, where she developed work with five Portuguese artisanal fisheries. She is currently coordinator of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Sciaena, monitoring and advocating the implementation of marine conservation policies at national and European levels, and integrates the working groups of PONG-Pesca and Plataforma Algarve Livre de Petróleo (PALP).
