“Implementation of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy: lessons learned” with Gonçalo Carvalho and Ana Matias

On March 30, between 2 pm and 3:30 pm GMT+1, Sciaena will organize a webinar named “Implementation of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy: lessons learned” with Gonçalo Carvalho and Ana Matias.

After 7 years of implementing the Common Fisheries Policy, we will take see of what has been achieved. 2020 was defined as the year to achieve one of the biggest changes in fisheries management: sustainable exploitation rates for all stocks. Despite some progress, this goal has not been achieved. Eight lessons that can be drawn from this process will be presented and the best strategies to improve fisheries management from this point on will be discussed.

This webinar is part of a cycle of webinars organized by Sciaena as a way to promote public debate on key topics for our oceans.
