Vasco Guia de Abreu

Graduated in Visual Design from IADE in 2001, he has dedicated his professional career to putting creativity, strategy, and communication at the service of projects that create meaningful impact.
With experience across design, creative direction, consultancy, and training, he has developed a strong belief that creativity is an essential tool for bringing people together, inspiring change, and turning ideas into action.
At Sciaena, where Vasco has been working for nearly two decades, he assumed the role of Co-Executive Director in July 2026, contributing to the organization’s strategic development, strengthening the communication of its mission, and creating new opportunities for marine conservation.
Driven by a deep connection to the ocean, Vasco seeks to build bridges between science, culture, and society, promoting a future where conscious and responsible consumption, sustainability, and creativity go hand in hand.
